A 7.5" (191 mm) hand round the palm is EN size 7 (S), a women's M and a S exam glove; in golf FootJoy women's M, goalkeeper size 9 and Alpinestars S. Flat, it measures about 79 mm across the knuckles.
Where 7.5" sits on the EN scale
EN ISO 21420 sizes are one inch of circumference apart, so a 7.5-inch hand sits halfway between sizes 7 and 8. Unisex work and sports gloves round it to 7 (S); makers that sell half sizes (dress leather, goalkeeper, surgical) make a 7.5.
Between two sizes, a tight-fitting glove (exam, golf, race) usually goes to 7, an insulated or lined one to 8.
7.5" × 25.4 = 191 mm round flat width ≈ 191 ÷ 2.42 = 79 mm (men)
Golf: the length decides Cadet
A 7.5" hand is below FootJoy’s men’s chart and reads as a women’s M (7–7.63"); junior golf gloves also fit here.
Sport, ride and winter
Goalkeeper gloves add an inch: 7.5" rounds to 8 and becomes size 9 (Reusch’s half-size chart: 7.5). Alpinestars’ men’s chart puts 19.1 cm at S. Hestra winter gloves are a 7 bare, 8 over a 1 mm liner.
For boxing, 7.5" falls in Rival’s 14 oz hand band (120–150 lb), but glove weight is chosen by bodyweight and use first; the hand only says how the cuff fits.
One half size down, 7" is EN 7 and goalie 8. One up, 8" is EN 8 and goalie 9.
