A 12" (305 mm) hand round the palm is EN size 12 (3XL), a women's 3XL and a XXL exam glove; in golf outside FootJoy’s men’s chart, goalkeeper size 13 and Alpinestars 3XL. Flat, it measures about 126 mm across the knuckles.
Where 12" sits on the EN scale
EN ISO 21420 sizes are one inch of circumference apart, so a 12-inch hand is exactly size 12: the table’s 304 mm reference with a typical length of 225 mm.
Size 12 is 3XL on unisex lines and 3XL on women’s lines, which are cut a letter smaller for the same hand.
12" × 25.4 = 305 mm round flat width ≈ 305 ÷ 2.42 = 126 mm (men)
Golf: the length decides Cadet
A 12" hand is above FootJoy’s 2XL band; look for a 3XL or an extended size.
Sport, ride and winter
Goalkeeper gloves add an inch: 12" rounds to 12 and becomes size 13 (Reusch’s half-size chart: 12). Alpinestars’ men’s chart puts 30.5 cm at 3XL. Hestra winter gloves are a 12 bare, 12 over a 1 mm liner.
Boxing gloves at 12" are youth sizes (Rival youth 8–10 oz) or below the adult hand bands.
One half size down, 11.5" is EN 12 and goalie 13.
